Vector Lights on Auckland Harbour Bridge
Start: 9pm; Finish: 1am. Leading up to midnight, there will be a 30-second countdown in sync with SKYCITY, followed by a five-minute show to complement the fireworks display on the Sky Tower. The best views from: Little Shoal Bay, Northcote; Bayswater Marina; Mt Victoria, Devonport; Queens Parade, Devonport; Bastion Point; Auckland waterfront; Harbour View Beach Reserve, Te Atatū Peninsula; Sentinel Beach, Herne Bay; Mt Eden.
NYE Federal Street Festival
Federal Street will be closed to traffic from 6pm-3am. Parking at SKYCITY will be limited to those with restaurant bookings and Premier Rewards card holders. Great views of the Sky Tower are available from many locations across the city, but some suggestions are: Queens Parade, Devonport; Wynyard Quarter; Albert Park; Victoria Park; Victoria Street (which will be closed to traffic on the night); Mt Eden. SKYCITY main site will be R20 from 7pm, the only exception being the hotel, Sky Tower or food and beverage guests (excluding Andy's Burger's & Bar where R20 will apply).
Sky Tower Fireworks
Auckland, the largest and most populous part of the country, serves an enormous fireworks show on New Years Eve - the Sky Tower display is widely regarded as the best in the nation and frequently provides the images for the TV cameras beaming pictures of the new years first major fireworks around the world. The new year show this year will also feature a laser display running alongside the fireworks, with laser animations also showing in the hours leading up to midnight. The Sky Tower is only part of the SKYCITY Auckland entertainment complex that also features casinos, hotels, bars and restaurants, so it's a place you can really make a night of it. SKYCITY also host their own ticketed new year event, the NYE party features plentiful food, drink, live entertainment as well as priority access to the SKYCITY Auckland Main Site.
Wondergarden Festival, Silo Park
Wondergarden is a festival that begins on the 31 of December at Silo Park, Auckland. This festival is worth attending because it is accessible from the main city center at walking distance and you can indulge yourself with the great street food and have the greatest live music. During midnight, this place is lit up with the great firework that shoots from the Sky Tower of the city. This is a kind of party that anyone can enjoy. Queen Street lights
From sunset New Year's Eve to 1am. Between Customs Street, Victoria Street and Vulcan Lane, the lights will be programmed to transition their colour scheme to complement the lighting shows on the Auckland Harbour Bridge and the Sky Tower. Queen Street is accessible to the public at all times.
